Ubuntu Dads and Daughters Workshops
Ubuntu Gender utilizes Dads and Daughter’s workshops to transform male beliefs, social norms and gender stereotypes about girls and women. The workshops are designed to address; female genital mutilation, teenage pregnancies, child marriages among others.
Ubuntu Father’s Groups
With our father’s groups we reach adult and young men to transform perceptions on a wide variety of thematic focus among which, but not limited to, are; Involved fatherhood, violence against women and girls, education, family health, violence against children, reproductive health among others. In the groups, we drive the agenda to deconstruct the way boys and girls are socialized. This is our way of contributing to gender equality and the SDGs.
Ubuntu Dialogue Ambassadors
Dialogue is our powerful tool for social and gender norms transformation. With our carefully structured dialogues, we empower communities with skills and knowledge to hold discussions that examine, question and challenge gender and social norms.
Ubuntu Conversations with Men
In order to change perceptions around masculinity and non-violence, our conversations seek to hold men accountable for men’s violence against women and girls. These help us to deconstruct patriarchal masculinity and build accountable practices in our transformative work with men and boys.
Ubuntu Boys Talks
At Ubuntu Gender we know that IT IS EASIER TO BUILD A BOY THAN REPAIR A MAN. We engage boys 10-17 in gender transformative talks that aim to build a new identity of a man. We hold conversations with boys that aim to define manhood and build relationships based on mutual respect and equality among boys.
Ubuntu Couple Program
At Ubuntu, we believe in shared decision making between males and females. Our couple programme enables us to support couples to harness the value of joint decision making and having relationships based on equality and respect.
Ubuntu Sexual Harassment at Work Program
The world of work preoccupies a lot of time for people. We work with private sector players to set up management and control of sexual harassment at the workplace systems and policies.
